Career history
2007 - Present
Senior Digital Designer for IPC Ignite. Responible for www.nme.com | www.uncut.co.uk | www.nuts.co.uk | www.loaded.co.uk.
Since joining IPC Ignite I have predominantly developed for NME and Nuts websites. Whilst maintaining the live site with display advertising, advertorial creation and online representation of the magazines editorial, I have also been designing future versions of both sites.
The new NME.com has a new wireframe, making it more search engine optimised and standards compliant with a new design which has been catered for easier skinning and evolution.
2006 - 2007
Interactive Designer for Live Nation creating resources for the Live Nation website, marketing emails, festival websites, print promotion and even designing 'skrims' for the stage at Download festival
Mid Weight Designer for Public Zone designing websites for the public sector, creating web and print work for education charity Edge and developing ideas for the charity UK Youth
Mid Weight Designer for XMLondon designing web and kiosk based projects for HSBC, HRH The Queen, Ladbrooks and XMLondon. I also develop websites and marketing material for the Professional Marketing Forum in Bank.
2004-2005
Freelance e-learning designer for LINE Communications Group across its London and Sheffield offices. Projects included a BTEC course for the MoD, and developing e-learning products for Nestle, BECTA and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).
2002-2004
I worked on the award winning 'Making the Modern World' for Winchester-based mwr and developed the brand for the company's 'Understand' e-learning package. I also managed the design team and freelance resources.
2001-2002
Freelance senior designer: clients included OKSO, TRP and M3. At OKSO I worked as art director on a marketing campaign and within the design team. I also developed TRP's and its sister company, M3's, corporate identities.
1997-2001
Launched and managed screen design company, Silk New Media. Developed sites for professional service companies such as law firm, Osborne Clarke.
1996-1997
Set up my first company, England Art in Bristol. A print design company, our clients included the Big Issue, Bristol City Council and the Theatre Royal Bath
